Personally, I think clauses like this one should be abolished. The only reason they have a job is because of fans, and fans like trades. That said, it was absolutely his right to choose to decline to waive. It's the contract he was given, so he can exercise it as he sees fit.
Parayko uses his negotiated no trade and people kick a fuss up. The real issue as I see it was why was the trade public in the 1st place until signed off? Who leaks this? Not player, not agent .. no benefit. Cheesy of teams to back door pressure the player that they gave no trade

I watch Xhekaj very closely to see what people and St. Louis dislike about him. He'll make 5 good plays, and make a single tiny error, then gets to sit the rest of the game. I hope he gets traded for his sake.
