Media needs to be much much more skeptical of big Presidential “announcements” that drive coverage and then prove to be less than meets the eye. Same the infamous Google website and drive through testing in Wal Mart parking lots (speaking of which do we have that yet?)

Sen. McConnell is going away for a long weekend without considering legislation to curb this public health crisis. In the Navy, the captain doesn’t leave the bridge when the ship is under duress. It’s a pretty basic leadership principle.

Every elected @GOP official owns this moment. They elected him. They coddled him. They cowered before him. They refused to have witnesses at his trial. Given the opportunity to stand up, they sat down. How much must he break before they will put our country first?
