Here’s a couple of classic ostrich dinosaur skeletons from the new @RoyalTyrrell Breakthroughs exhibition. Both specimens preserve evidence of feathers in these #dinosaurs. #FossilFriday

Everything came together to get our ornithomimid block flipped, capped & ready for pick up! This turned out to be about 1000lbs. Fingers crossed most of a skeleton is inside. Special thanks to Wendy & Ed Sloboda for their help with the pull. #SADP2025

Stopped by the Grassy Lake amber locality today. The large chunks of amber w inclusions originate from the Taber Coal Zone of the Foremost Formation and are ~78 million years old. The site is famous for producing exquisite #dinosaur & bird feathers trapped in amber. #SADP2025

Here’s a highlight for this field season: a complete frontal from a troodontid #dinosaur— I think the first from the Oldman Formation. I’m excited about this one. Found by none other than Wendy Sloboda. #SADP2025

Today we visited the spot where the holotype of Chasmosaurus russelli was collected in 1936. There is a quarry stake, installed with the foresight of C. M. Sternberg— otherwise the site would be lost to time. We are confirming the strat for an upcoming paper. #SADP2025

We are also working to collected an associated horned dinosaur skeleton from the top of the Foremost Formation— we have hips and adjacent verts so far. It has a ‘hockey stick’ ischium so it’s likely a basal centrosaur of some sort. Hoping the skull is there… #SADP2025

This year we are digging up an articulated ornithomimid (ostrich #dinosaur) that I found at the end of last field season. I have been dreaming about this all year. It’s from the bottom of the Oldman Formation, about 78 million years old. #SADP2025
