Measles outbreaks can be partially attributed to what the @WHO calls the largest sustained decline in childhood vaccinations in 3 decades. A recent study by @CUNYSPH researchers found that 1/3 of U.S. parents reported a child with a missed vaccination due the COVID-19 pandemic.
Already facing a challenging respiratory season, pediatricians in Ohio are now dealing with another foe: measles.

“Once someone recovers from the acute phase of their COVID infection, it doesn’t mean that they’re necessarily going to be back to normal in a short period of time. Many, many people are struggling,” said @epi_dude. https://t.co/f1dHzyQafw
