This kind of intervention isn’t exciting, but it gave us space to do something more important: improve the system. → higher concurrency per plan → longer queue capacity → better performance under load in short: fewer failures, smoother experience.

So we’ve made a change: - if more than 8 generations are triggered at once, we now apply a soft slowdown. It’s not about limiting ambition, it’s about keeping things stable for the people who use it as intended.

We’ve been seeing rising misuse on the platform, especially around unlimited image generations: Automated usage, bots, etc. None of it was malicious (hopefully) but it was slowly breaking the experience for everyone else, and it was against our T&C.

Not every product decision is about growth. Some are just about protecting what’s already there, and making sure it doesn’t quietly fall apart under pressure. We just made one of those decisions.
