I think there's a general misconception around "getting" management. IME if you're doing anything remotely right and have something that capable PR people can actually sell, and don't keep yourself totally invisible, they will come to you. IMO a more organic and smarter strategy.

Why do transient shapers feel like cheating? Probably because I really have no clue how they work so well with no treshold control. And probably also because I still have some "who can chop breaks the best" hang ups from my drum'n'bass days.

Yay found some great music today: @GoHiyama and @6SISS_ on Leyla, Cosimono Damiano LP has some cool tribal/organic stuff, Dominik Frohlich EP and that Third Room VA with Nene H and Efdemin is really good.

Mind that a lot of midrange and less lowend doesn't have to mean that every kick has to be a full spectrum hardstyle click that cuts through everything. Leaning too heavy on the kick can actually make things feel a bit slower and less agile.
