It’s a thing with @ctklimek how much taller he is than Cavill. It’s important to him. So he finally scores a photo with the guy, and all I can think is FORCED PERSPECTIVE FAKE NEWS.

Gunn’s SUPERMAN? Doggy. The franchise Donner’s SUPERMAN launched 47 years earlier? Dodgy — but still preferable to the .Sturm und Drag of the Snyderverse. Anyway, here’s a history. Didn’t have room for the Donner Cut, sorry.

James Gunn’s upbeat new blockbuster is an attempt to reboot a superhero with a dodgy screen history.

Each #yulemix, I reach a point where I realize it’s time to stop. This year it was when I was about to put in the lady yelling “JUDAS!” at Dylan in response to a Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog joke. CHRISTMAS TO CHRISTMAS, the Charlie XIXth installment:.

Seems like there’s nothing in the world to talk about besides HERE, a reunion of FORREST GUMP wherein Bob Zemeckis once again proves he’ll never stop trying to bridge that uncanny goddamn valley. Did he not see DA FIVE BLOODS?

Me on WOLFS, the pluralization-punking reunion of cranky lions-in-winter George in Brad that’s in a few cinemas for one week only before it gets dumped in the Pine Barrens of AppleTV+. Coulda used a bit more Amy Ryan, but what couldn’t?

Two movies I booked far in advance & no-show’d recently are THE TERMINATOR (I’m off-book) and CALIGULA, which I’ve never seen. The multitudes I contain include Helen Mirren, John Gielgud, & Peter O’Toole, all possibly unaware they’re in a porno with a screenplay by Gore Vidal.

There are movies you go into knowing you’re older than every major character, and movies where it comes as a chilling reveal, is my point.
