My Duel Credit Developmental Psychology class had work time today to complete their personal reflection questions on the chapter. They asked, "Mr. Slyter, can we listen to Taylor Swift Fearless while we work?" My response, "Of course we can!" My classes know me well! #Swifties

Best I can tell from available play by play data, there has never been another game in recorded NL/AL history in which… A pitcher lost a no-hitter on a HR with 2 outs in the 9th and then … His team lost the game. Baseball!

Emmanuel Rivera walks off the Dodgers with a two-run single in the 9th to give the Orioles a 4-3 win. The Orioles were being no-hit by Yoshinobu Yamamoto with 2 outs in the 9th. The next 6 batters reached base & brought home 4 runs. The craziest baseball game you’ll ever seen.

30 years ago, sitting in my apartment in Valley City, a fifth year Senior doing my student teaching at VCSU. Green shag carpet, second hand couch, watching Jr break the record. I remember it well. ❤️⚾️

Met him at a Nationals spring training game when he was a scout for them. Very gracious to talk with and let me take a picture with him.
We mourn the passing of Orioles Hall of Fame second baseman Davey Johnson, who earned three All-Star berths with the club and later managed the team to two Postseason appearances.
