Good observation, Daniel. I’d extend the thinking to all underserved markets globally. If you can stand out and grow sustainably in deprived market conditions, that’s a great signal for a high-quality business.
UK tech companies are actually more advanced and effective than their peers in the USA. The US has enjoyed a solid 15 years of growth and investment that the UK missed out on. Anything that’s come out of the UK has been refined and sharpened in a harsher market. The UKs less.

We founded Digital East Fund as an independent firm and decided to share the brand with Earlybird, as a confederation of 3 independent sister funds. We are soon changing the name on the door and launching a new, distinct brand. We’re excited to share more in due course.
