It’s #WorldPrematurityDay When preterm babies don’t get the care they need, we lose the chance to help them thrive. Did you know? Some of history’s great minds and talents were #BornTooSoon. It’s time to ensure every small and preterm baby gets the care they need!

It’s #WorldPrematurityDay Every year, 15 million babies are born too soon. Too small. Too early. And far too vulnerable to life-threatening complications. But with the right care, most preterm and low birth weight babies survive. They can go on to thrive and lead wonderful

Heartbroken to read today’s @NAOorguk report describing the postcode lottery of care faced by dying people in Britain. Two thirds of charitable hospices are in debt. Services are being slashed everywhere & hospices forced to cut their staff & beds. How can it possibly be right

NB this benefit was lost when a threshold of 25mm was used (34% vs 40% in the cerclage vs no cerclage group). So in practice: the finding of a CL <25mm should lead to scrutiny of the image to understand why it is shortened (?context, ?LLETZ, ?int os collapse, ?previous scans)…

PSA screening media coverage is currently very poor. Various charities are not helping but instead adding to the confusion and hype. The Times today carries another high profile individual story of how they were "absolutely" saved by screening with PSA testing.
