I would not play legacy saves atm. There could be more issues that haven't surfaced yet and the moodlet issue is breaking saves.
So, I would advise to put them aside for now and play another save game. Build some, create some Sims or just fiddle around with some of the features

If you download Sims from the gallery that have an extra (or more traits), do not change their traits or it will mess up the GUI in CAS.

Many Gallery lots currently seem to cause issues.
I propose to test everything in a new save game first to see if it causes issues before putting then in your regular game.

As the weekend before patch day draws closer, it's a good time to create a backup of your user folder. You'll find an overview on what file does what here:

For those who don't know yet: There's a pretty bad bug in the game right now. It's not fixed by the EP, that was an error on my part: Sims age in CAS. It doesn't matter if they're vampires or if you have aging off or how you enter CAS. - Maxis is aware and working on it.

For those of you running the legacy edition: Eco Living will NOT run on that. Don't pre-order or by the pack.
If you have automatic updates enabled you will be prompted for the patch but the changes will not affect your game so you can turn it off now. You don't need the patch

Hi everyone, I can't keep up with all the tweets here so apologize the lack of answers.
The social menu issue is tied to the singing skill. Cheat reduce it to < 5 and your Sim should be fine.
There's also issues with the mailbox + instruments but those seem unrelated to singing

- White/red question mark sims --> repair your game
- Base game worlds missing --> Repair your game

If your Sim is not progressing their pregnancy then it's because of the Relationship-Telemetry LE. Putting in LeRoi's Mod Fix should help with the issue:
If you are on console or do not want to use mods, play another family until the baby is born.

is def not mod related (several console players have joined in) and is related to certain Sims. It's unclear at this point what the issue is with them (maybe one of the modders can figure it out but they are probably busy updating mods)

Did some further testing on the NAP stuck commodities issue (the issue that's responsible for active Sims doing NAP stuff they shouldn't).

This isn't the only issue. I think it also confuses people cause it acts like a filter and not a sort by. So if you search for someone's specific creation, you end up with nothing although there's stuff in the gallery.

There are a few weird issues going on, especially when playing with residential rentals.
Please make sure you do the following things
- Save often
- Save multiple versions of your build while you are building.
- Make sure your mods/cc is uptodate

The issue with updating/downloading Sims in EA app SHOULD be resolved (there still people having issues).
There was NO actual update.
Please go Help - App recovery in EA app if you still have the update showing.

Please folks, test without as it's really hard to tell what's legit and what not.
Testing without means, renaming your user folder and starting a new save game. Test on that.

So after more testing my current theory is as follow:
If you play on long age span, every Sim has a random number of days added each time you go to CAS/Manage World/Possibly travel). This results in the Sims aging up and dying sooner or later.

Still trying to understand everything and had a talk with some modders. Saves CAN break if you saved your game after moodlets disappeared but only with a few moodlets. Break means that certain aspects won't work properly.
Recovering saves might be necessary.

Never ever download whole mods folder from others. This hasn't been a bright idea in the past and now it's become downright dangerous.
The only good place to get mods/cc is on the creators site.

Please be aware that this patch does not fix already lost Father Winter Babies (I checked) or messed up ages (I checked). You will need to load pre-GF-save backups to get those back or use MCCC to fix your ages.

So I tested a few broken saves I had with error codes and they do all seem fixed.
Still got endless loading on one save but saw improvement on another (possible that I tested the wrong save though as I have a few states on that one)

Remember: If you have any question marks on Sims or floor tiles, repair your game. It's an incomplete installation issue.
Also, check on your antivirus software if nothing is blocking stuff.

Modders are updating their mods as we speak (or not and that's ok too).
NEVER rush them and don't be rude. You can check if they have lists on what's updated or check Luth or Scarlets lists.
Again, it's about finding info yourself. It's out there.

So - I trust you have done your backups and either removed your mods/cc and/or turned off automatic updates by now to be ready for the big patch tomorrow. .. It will be big and mods/cc will break. Make sure you keep your save games safe and start a new one for testing the patch.
