We contribute the focus on a single industry to a small but excellent body of existing studies on the use of #tttig across different creative domains (, and professionals' attitudes toward #creativeAI more generally (. 9/10.

Traditionally early adopters of AI and strong users of prototyping and ideation, we focus on games industry both as a canary in the coalmine, but also a potential guide for the adoption of #creativeAI in other industries. 8/10.

We discuss how our participants' reflections can inform discussions within the industry, be used by policymakers to inform urgently needed legislation, and support researchers in games, #HCI and #AI to support the #sustainable, professional use of #ttig. 7/10.

Identifying 12 themes, 39 sub-themes, etc. we contribute the 1st study of #ttig in a specific industry & the most comprehensive account of professionals' perception, adoption & use of #ttig in general. Summary w quotes in paper, full coding template as Supplementary! 6/10

We combine 1st person insights & qualitative analysis to shed light on (1) professionals’ perceptions & attitudes towards #ttig & its future; (2) how #ttig is adopted & used in current creative practice; (3) how #ttig is expected to change & be used in future practice. 5/10.

For our study, we interviewed 14 professionals in the Finnish game industry (with diverse roles, studio sizes, gender, age) @igdafinland about their use of #ttig, and identified patterns in their responses through Template Analysis (collaborative hierarchical coding). 4/10

(3) Strong differences in team leads: hiring AI over people vs. putting human talent over AI; (4) AI impacts outsourcing: can contractors be trusted? (5) #ttig jeopardises meaning in creative jobs: no consensus on what artists consider rewarding. (6) Education must adapt! 3/10

Few teaser findings: (1) Artists' attitudes are highly dynamic: from reluctant to excited and back, some rejecting #ttig altogether b/c of ethics; (2) Transition of creative roles seems inevitable, but perception varies: from "art director to the AI" to "slave to the AI"; 2/10
