Our C-PROOF gliders travel along Line P year-round, and having an existing 65 year historical record of @DFO_Pacific cruise data to compare to means we can now see and measure changes like those caused by marine heat waves in near-real-time. Excellent story from @CIOOSPacific!.

Our new gliders are all named after famous robots:.Maria-997.Bumblebee-998.K-999.Hal-1002.Marvin-1003.(@TeledyneMarine kept gliders number 1000 and 1001.).Our five new gliders join BB, Eva, Rosie, Wall-e, and Mike in our fleet of ten. That's a lot of gliders!

The C-PROOF fleet just doubled in size! Welcome to our five new Slocum G3 gliders, three of which have extended battery bays, and all of which use rechargeable lithium batteries! We are super excited to increase our sampling capability in BC coastal waters and the NE Pacific.

Our glider Rosie just started a mission in the Northeast Pacific Ocean along Line P. The data she's collecting are super valuable, especially because this spring's DFO research cruise had to be cancelled!
