Deleted the first post in this thread to correct an inaccuracy. Five of the six recommended projects were approved; the Royal Oak project was pulled from the slate prior to the final committee vote and was not awarded.

We got a DM the other day with a fun request from a local family: Could we find this nice BART train operator who always waved and beeped at this special little rider and deliver him a thank you card? So we made it happen. Happy National #TransitEmployeeAppreciationDay!

The mitten has been my home my entire life and I've got no plans to change that, but if a Michigander tells you they've never even briefly questioned living here on a freezing February or March night after warm sunlight was teased for one day and then stolen again, theyβre lying

Living in a region where "Experience/Enjoy/Discover the D" is on absolutely *everything* and just seen as normal, professional city marketing I can't help but chuckle at the LA Metro t-shirt discourse π

Real conversation I've had: "Oh, you walk in from the platform, take the first left, take another left onto the glass ring, go halfway around, take a left then left again, go down an escalator, turn around, go down a second... y'know what just follow me" https://t.co/ng1fHrtemq

Had a meeting inside the RenCen today, my first and probably only visit this year. As of last month it's no longer a public space β have to state your business to access the pedestal. Cars are gone, screens are off, ambient music is no more. A bittersweet but necessary farewell
