Puerto Rico is a great case study: What if a third-world nation enjoyed open borders with the United States? Turns out the entire population, more or less, decamps and migrates to America. The vast majority of Puerto Ricans live in the states, not in PR. Only the elderly remain.

When the left decided to push Black Lies Matter hoaxes and overt anti-white racism to the extent of excluding white men from many professions entirely, it became inevitable that the right would start exploring the topic of race. The left wanted a "conversation" about race.
As someone who thinks the post-1960's societal consensus on racism (1) exists (sorry, right wingers, just because lefty academics and activists talk too much about race doesn't mean this doesn't exist) and (2) was a very good thing that immensely benefits us, I am worried.

This is obvious and the response by the "economist" is hilarious: "What percentage of their wages is due to affirmative action?" Something like that is inherently unmeasurable. You can't see the people who didn't make it because they were discriminated against by the woke.
@GarettJones Affirmative action disadvantages Asians in college admissions but advantages them in the workplace. Because Asians generally qualify as “people of color” for DEI/ESG, corporations can meet their diversity targets by promoting them. So the market is not the only factor at work.
