Loved the run at #sheffieldhalfmarathon today. Friendly folk, great views, excellent support. Sadly, however, the organisation at the beginning was poor - 15 minutes late start, no communication, bag drop chaos, km markers incorrect, portaloos almost non-existent. I was surprised

What was most remarkable about this... twenty minutes before I arrived in the classroom, Year 6 had literally just started learning about Ancient Egypt!

This is absolutely brilliant. Proper put a smile on my face. I THINK this is the first time I've ever seen this poem performed by anyone other than me. Well done Class 3! I really, really enjoyed that! (PS: Do you actually like sprouts? I LOVE THEM! Especially with bacon...)
Last week was Poetry week in school. Children in Class 3 studied a favourite poem from a poetry book in our reading area by @conradburdekin 🎭 They also used this poem as inspiration to create their own too. They were so creative and funny - Well done Class 3 😁

What a great morning I had! I'll be honest, I did not imagine we'd be writing poems about Monkeys going to hospital and oranges changing careers and becoming Astronauts, but therein lies the power of poetry!
Our Year 3 children enjoyed their workshop with @conradburdekin creating and performing their own poems. They are looking forward to sharing their poems with friends and family!
