the easiest answer is that "the market" doesn't want whatever they were inspired by. this begs the questions: why were they inspired in the first place? why is there such a disconnect between what people are inspired by, vs what "the market" rewards?.

if you want to attract talent, you've first got to inspire them. to retain talent, you've got to provide feedback and reward them. last year i've seen loads of talent leave from people achieving something that aligns with their inspiration, yet reception has been a blip at best.
the biggest threat to your bags is not my bags . it's the smartest talent in the world continuously picking AI over crypto.

Apple just needs to do 1 or 2 things:. 1. bump up the opacity and "light scatter".2. do #1 but make it dynamically adjusted, based on what is underneath it: wallpaper? nearly transparent. other OS interface? very opaque frosted glass with adjusted saturation or brightness.
its clear that Apple is in a transition point and trying to make the personal compute experience cater to the visionOS aesthetic. Liquid Glass could work really well with visionOS, where your surroundings are important. but it clearly has some subpar qualities on black mirrors.
