This was my first film job out of college. I was the Apprentice Editor on this. Production rented a house in Superior, AZ, where it was filmed (40 min outside of Phoenix).
Watching U-Turn (’97) is like flicking through a high school yearbook: Sean Penn before transforming into an Easter Island head, Billy Bob pre-smoking himself thin, young Joaquin's Johnny Cash audition, pre-Homeland Claire Danes and J-Lo before she… looks exactly the same.
