The very last episode of Love Thy Neighbor is out today. It’s about Giuliani’s rise to power! a little known drunken NYPD riot! And cheesy Black and Jewish basketball games! Stay for my existential thoughts on what it means to be a good neighbor.

Absolutely deplorable comments about our students. It lacks compassion or understanding of the contexts under which our children are growing up. I also have to wake my kid up every day, bc it's early - not bc it's a reflection of his ability, nor his desire to learn!
Talking about admissions screens, @DOEChancellor says students who work hard and get good grades should have priority access to schools compared with the "child you have to throw water on their face to get them to go to school every day"

All we seem to talk about on this here app is respect and giving flowers while we still can. Here is my garden for a legend, who managed so much despite the color of her skin, the locs on her head and her foot in her mouth: my hero, Whoopi Goldberg.

The New York Times, in its endorsement of Danny Goldman this weekend, somehow neglected to mention that he's a family friend of the Sulzbergers. /1

an adaptation of BAD SEX’s first chapter is up at The Cut! It’s about sex, singledom, history, family, and societal expectations that create destructive silence
Read an excerpt from @nona's new book, BAD SEX: "The truth is I was secretly terrified of being single in my thirties, despite my feminist posturing about independence"

Teaching is a calling for New York’s king of the marketing flier, whose students include the former governor David Paterson. But he won’t take just anyone.
