The gap that we've observed between high personal optimism and low technological confidence is a political fault line. If AI's benefits don't materialize as expected, that tension could drive significant public backlash.

3. Impact. We ask the public to adjudicate tradeoffs across deployment scenarios. Do they think the rewards are worth the risks?.

2. Trust. Turns out people trust chatbots a lot. (58%) more than twice as much as their elected representatives (28%). Although trust in the companies that build AI - only 35%.

1. Diffusion. Download counts and adoption rates aren’t enough. It’s about how AI integrates into real life—are people required to use it at work? Is it giving them advice? . 14% of people use AI for emotional support daily. 41% on a weekly basis.

🧭 Applicability Winner: Ganesh Gopalkrishna Hegde. Project: “The AI Social Contract”. His Atlas of AI Sentiment transformed global voices into data, showing how AI sentiment is tied to economic reality and development levels. Congrats Ganesh!

🎨 Creativity Winner: Megha Goel. Project: “If Words Were Enough”. A poetic research tool that uses untranslatable words to co-create poems with AI. Part benchmark, part archive, part miniature policy. Congrats Megha!

🎤 Storytelling Winner: Kashish Kalra. Project: “The World Wants to Feel AI”. This entry wove a moving narrative using artwork, quotes, and design to show how AI could accompany us—not just serve us. 👏 Congrats Kashish!
