going to say at this point that cloud-rock is at this point fully Not Real, but very much enjoyed Eli writing about it anyway.
☁️ I wrote about a new genre/sound/vibe. People are calling it cloud-rock, and it's basically "indie-rock" with the anatomy of outsider rap/electronica. Think ML Buch, Chanel Beads, Fine, untitled (halo), Horse Vision, etc. Read my cloud-rock manifesto:

agree with the spirit of this if not the specifics and also i love indie rock music there’s so many great bands that don’t get written and talked about i don’t want to start a substack please let me write about them.
I like WFYE and have seen them live twice but yeah, a lot of the critically acclaimed rock bands nowadays are not quite there yet for me. Chat Pile, YHWH Nailgun, literally all the shoegaze revival acts, and somehow people liked those recent albums from The Smile. Could go on.
