UPDATE: my parents will be picking mercury up this weekend! my partner and i will be driving up to cali to get him. not fully sure what to expect for his recovery yet since i won't be able to get his information until later in the afternoon, but this is a great start

we're at about $2k now so on top of travel costs we'll be able to get him to a vet and spoil the hell out of him <3.

we haven't slept because we've just been in awe of the amount of people willing to help get mercury home. this is so insane to me that i can't even wrap my head around it, and i again just cannot put into words how absolutely thankful i am for every single donation and comm.

we've hit $750 😭 i am in awe right now, i'm going to sound like a broken record with the amount of times i'll be saying this but thank you all SO much! if i surpass the travel goal then all of the other funds will be going towards his vet bills + supplies for him.

i'll be calling the shelter he's at today as soon as it opens (6 hours from now 🥲) to make arrangements for my mom picking him up as well as asking about his mental/physical state, so i'll post an update after! for now i'm going to try to get some sleep until then.
