A college coach knows if you have the “baseball talent.” When they ask me about you, I go straight to the weightroom and classroom. It’s either a compliment to your game or a red flag. Pound the weightroom and compete in the classroom. Not getting looks, reflect on those.

Tough time of year for coaches. I got released as a frosh and I appreciated my coach for his honesty. He’s still the 1st person I call with questions. I love the guys that tried out and gave us the opportunity to be around them. Tomorrow’s transparency meetings are tough.

Athletes often try to “raise the ceiling,” which is often times unrealistic. Try “raising the floor.” Make your worst days better that everyone else’s because you are consistently consistent. Then, shoot for beating the average of your five best days, excluding outliers.
