My heart breaks for the victims, the families, and the communities in Minnesota where political violence took place this morning. I am gravely concerned with what this means for our nation, when elected officials are targeted for political violence. This is a dark day for America.
DEVELOPING: Minnesota lawmaker and husband were killed, another injured in what Gov. Walz called a “politically motivated assassination.” The suspect remains at large.

Commander Alvarez is celebrated for his unbreakable spirit during his 8 years and 7 months of captivity as a Prisoner of War (POW) in North Vietnam, the second-longest held POW in American history.
