Legislative process, generally, and not for any specific state, as I explain to my kid. Happy Friday everyone.

@JackCraver These are very different than the original Project Connect map still posted here. https://t.co/czq1u9jXj9 Looks like only one of the five new options goes underground downtown.

To solve this problem in the long term, Texas needs to take actions to restore the health of its unhealthy markets. Rooting out the harmful effects of consolidation and market concentration will help teachers, the state budget, and employees who get their insurance through work.

#txlege is considering proposals to ⬆️ premiums on teacher health insurance. The debate over whether teachers, districts, or the state should pay more misses the big point: health care prices are too high, and impact all employers.

Teachers have been at the center of many of the most important legislative debates during the 88th Legislature. Here's why teacher benefits must be a part of the conversation.

There’s been a lot of talk about #pricetransparency in #txhealth care lately, and sometimes it can get confusing with all the various laws and rules that have passed. #txlege Texas 2036's @Cmillernd2005 dives in on the data: https://t.co/JAsvGk4O8u

I wrote about the state of price transparency in Texas -- what the laws are, where we are in implementation, and what's to come in the future.

It's an odd-numbered year, and that means #Texas lawmakers have convened for another session. Jack Frazee, Lindsay Lanagan, Anthony Haley, and @Cmillernd2005 are discussing notable legislation for this year and more in Austin. @HMAConsultants #healthcare

Economic theory implies that even if employers pay for health benefits, the costs fall on the workers, because workers see reductions in other forms of compensation. Regardless of who makes the payment, all such funds come from https://t.co/ttmVBmBzmh

Millions (and millions and millions) of Texans live in areas that don't have enough healthcare professionals to care for them. Let's get NPs to fill those gaps so Texans can get care close to home. Thanks to Sen @CesarJBlanco for taking the lead on this critical issue.

Nurse Practitioners serve a vital role in the continuum of #healthcare. Empowering them to practice to their fullest abilities improves patient access to affordable health care. #txlege #txhealth

I've gotta be the only one degenerate enough to realize that this is the wrong Signify Health logo right (this takes absolutely nothing away from the fantastic graphic from Gist)

"Physicians are burdened with a growing number of administrative tasks, taking away valuable time and resources that could be spent on patient care. It's time to free up providers to focus on what matters most - delivering high-quality care to patients. #PatientCare"

Americans pay way too much for health care, college, and child care. There probably is no one single cause. https://t.co/DcLWg2gLnB

I love this graphic. It showcases the absolute disaster of 3rd party funding in healthcare and higher education.
