The more I am learning about the Palestinian struggle, the more I discover about its abundant biodiversity. So, I made this to highlight some of the birds found in Palestine. One day, all life in Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

Globally, sea turtle populations are increasing. But the threats of unsustainable fishing, coastal destruction, climate change & pollution still threaten the survival of these marine animals. We have to do more. https://t.co/eLwlinXogs

Last month, Sungai Perak was heavily polluted & turned blue. The suspect? In-situ leaching of rare earth elements (REE). The process recorded radiation up to 13 times the limit. This is why environmentalists & communities are concerned with our REE plans.

Our Permanent Forest Reserves & Environmentally Sensitive Areas should stay protected! The demand for REE is for decarbonisation technologies but our existing forests are already helping us tackle climate change by sequestering CO2 & helping us adapt to extreme weather events.
Malaysia lacks the technology and infrastructure needed to develop its rare earth element sector, despite possessing significant reserves valued at RM747 billion. Government policies restricting mining in permanent forest reserves and other environmentally sensitive areas

homophobia isn't just slurs, hate crimes and undisguised revulsion. sometimes, it's a polite smile and an "oh, i'm sorry we can't serve you bc your existence goes against what god ordained (and you're going to hell). have a nice day!" and that /still/ counts. bigotry is bigotry

It infuriates me to see such gross misrepresentation of private companies going to COP30 in Belem, Brazil while NGOs, youth & indigenous community leaders can barely afford to go there to observe & negotiate for our environmental futures.

Please, read books. Not just captions, or carousel posts, or what made it to the top of your feed. Read books. Long ones. Complex ones. You cannot build a mind with weight on the back of social media ephemerals. Intellectual depth demands patience.

I spoke to the South China Morning Post about Malaysia’s trade deal with the US on rare earth elements & how that could potentially threaten our forests. Read the article here: https://t.co/jXoEi7oNIE

Good news! Under the Malaysian leadership, ASEAN member states have adopted the Human Right to a Safe, Clean, Healthy & Sustainable Environment. This is a historic progress to institutionalise justice for us & nature. https://t.co/bPQoWgiRTB
