In 2014, when I was Director of @gasierraclub, I left it all on the field to get the Clayton MARTA vote. Today @MARTAtransit I get to help our Senators make those dreams a reality. Grateful to @SenatorWarnock for all his support.
Strengthening MARTA’s presence in Clayton County creates jobs, provides affordable options to get around, bolsters the local economy & combats climate change. I fought to include investments for this project in the funding package, & I’m glad it’s almost over the finish line.

This was my experience until the middle of 7th grade when we moved to the exurbs. Transit is freedom for the young, the old, anyone who can’t drive or chooses not to.
As someone who grew up with buses, being able to freely travel around the city by myself starting at like age 11 meant that I was much more independent than my suburban peers who needed to be driven, or wait until they got a driver's license. Transit is freedom.
