The School of Environment also failed to commit to dissociating from weapons manufacturing and companies complicit in Israeli apartheid. Climate justice means justice for Palestine. #Freegaza Which means not investing in or accepting money from weapons or arms manufacturing.

These commitments only apply to the School of Environment. @UofT continues to accept funding from and engage in research partnerships with fossil fuel companies. The commitments also don't include fossil banks, such as @RBC, the #1 financier of fossil fuel expansion in 2022 😡

This is a huge win for the student climate movement and the fight for #FossilFreeResearch, and was the direct result of months of relentless organizing by students involved in @cjuoft and @cclimatenetwork ‼️‼️ But the fight doesn’t end here.
