I'm just amazed at how seemingly sensible people and especially young adults who are quite socially aware, lose their marbles when asked to consider that giving free land in Malé to only Malé permanent addresses has an associated injustice.

one of the main reasons this conversation never moves forward is because people from Malé refuse to acknowledge the privilege(s) they have. i’m sure thousands would move back if their islands or even their atolls offered the same services.
