1921 Graves Test Excavation will begin on Monday, July 13, in Oaklawn Cemetery. Expected to take 3-6 days, the excavation will focus in the sexton area where the geophysical investigation identified a large anomaly consistent with a mass grave. Learn more

TPD, TFD and PSO responded to 83rd W. 21st for a potential levee compromise. Guy wires connecting an electric pole to deenergized electric cables were causing a potential threat to the levee. TPD and PSO were successful in disconnecting the guy wires away from the levee.

We are getting a lot of questions about pets at the cooling stations. We've been told the Crosstown Church of Christ, 3400 E. Admiral Pl., will be able to accommodate leashed pets thanks to the Humane Society. The other locations will still be able to accept service animals.

Army Corps of Engineers will sustain the 250k cfs release into the Arkansas River until 5/29 as a result of additional rain. The levees near Charles Page Blvd are at higher risk. Residents near Levees A & B should make evacuation plans now in the event of a breach.
