Steven Drake thanked the team who gave him a second chance at life. When he went into cardiac arrest, EMSA Paramedic Larry Stearns and EMT Garrett Thompson rushed to the scene. For 25 minutes, Larry & Garrett performed CPR before his heart started beating again. #emsaok

EMSA Paramedics Chris Giles and Colby Hays were in downtown Oklahoma City when they heard a call about a patient suffering a cardiac arrest less than a block away. Within minutes, the patient’s heart was beating at a normal rhythm, and he was released from the hospital. #emsaok

Moments like this are why EMS matters. When EMSA Paramedic Tom Lewis and EMT Dakota Swindle responded to a pulseless patient, they knew they had to act fast. This marked Dakota’s 1st save of his EMS career and Tom’s 1st save after being cleared to work as a Paramedic. #emsaok

After 21 years with EMSA, one of our most beloved team members, Lynn Jackson, is retiring. Known for her sharp wit, infectious humor, and unmatched work ethic, Lynn has been one of EMSA's most reliable team members for more than two decades.

EMSA Paramedic Cassie Dennis and EMT Caroline Sheets responded to a cardiac arrest with CPR in progress. They realized the patient didn’t have a pulse & immediately took out the rescue pump to assist with compressions. After a few minutes, the patient’s pulse returned. #emsaok
