Multiple industrial snow removers with fleets of dump trucks to haul snow off of Providence streets worked all night and will continue to remove snow around the clock in the days ahead. The parking ban remains in effect so those crews can effectively clear streets.

I’m happy to share that we have secured out of state industrial snow removers that are on the roads starting tonight. In the days ahead these teams will be across the figure with both an industrial snow remover and an entire fleet of dump trucks to haul snow off our streets.

REMINDER: Trash and recycling collection is suspended until next week. Please do not place trash bins on the street, as they can obstruct snow plows and slow neighborhood cleanup efforts.

On top of the 100 vehicles that have been deployed, we hired additional vendors with heavy equipment that came in today. Today we are prioritizing clearing at least one lane on every street and in the days ahead we will clear the second lanes and get our streets fully cleared.
