Someone asked about procrastination and where to even start, so I gave this answer. Thought I'd share – it's a really brief intro to some key ideas. 🧡 1/

IQ is correlated with being liberal and an atheist, but conservatism is correlated with higher levels of life satisfaction and happiness, so I don't know what to make of all that.

I'm a big fan of nasal irrigation. I used to get terrible sinusitis. I do isotonic saline – carefully measured to be in balance with the body. Hypertonic saline would sting a bit but I guess it probably works a bit better.

@RokoMijic Discomfort only turns into suffering if it isn't compensated by enough pleasure at the same time. You can have an enormous amount of discomfort but as long as it's balanced with enough pleasure it is morally fine. But more to the point, neuroscience has shown that negative

I used to find him high-variance. He has great skill with words but in the past he has allied himself with some of the worst people. And then would also make bang-on posts like this. Is he becoming wiser? I hope so. https://t.co/hlGqrCZdgW

I struggle to see how any intelligent person thought the Dems (even the worst, most incompetent Dems) were worse than Trump, though I know a significant number did. Hanania's more recent writing on Trump et al has been on point.

End of 2024 Hanania still thought the Dems were worse than Trump. Trump had been in a very short time when he realised how wildly wrong that was. https://t.co/hlGqrCZdgW

@SwipeWright @TheLaurenChen The anti-seed oil evidence and narrative likely has to do with the fact that most highly processed foodsβ€”which generally are not good for you and, by design, consumed immoderatelyβ€”are made with seed oils. So research that shows a correlation between poor health outcomes and seed

Nothing stops a bad guy with a gun better than a firearms licence requirement and a ban on the most dangerous weapons. Empirically speaking.

Last night, there was one tweet after another from MAGAs about how they would not celebrate Rob Reiner's death the way that the "left" celebrated Charlie Kirk's death. Of course, the "left" in this case was randos on TikTok. No important Democrat celebrated Kirk's death. Here's

I've been a bit conflicted about Hanania. Happy to see him finally wake up to the dangers of Trump and MAGA and turn his skill with words against them. But still had him categorised as "horrifyingly racist". Now he's slamming racists, and I'm confused.

Guy responds to a tweet about Haitians eating cats being false by talking about the Central Park Five. Talk about low decoupling. Every story involving black people and crime must have the exact same lesson!
