Hell yeah!!! That's my bike!! Love it ๐๐ค
Last bike horse for today. This commissioner wanted a relatively lightly built horse that's good on bumpy terrain for their mountain bike! I went with a Tennessee Walker and gave her a bit of a haughty expression since they said she's 'too good to be ridden in the city'.

New paper day! Phil Bell led a great study on some *INSANELY COOL* titanosaur tracks our expedition found in Mongolia. The scales in particular are extra awesome - they're like little pyramids, and they *may* have helped with scratch digging and/or walking on sandy surfaces!

Was the key to bird flight 'all in the wrist'? New research, published today in Nature, shows that important adaptations for flight in the wrists of modern birds were present in bird-like theropod dinosaurs . ๐งต Illustration by @Paleoartologist

The final portrait I could find from my time on WWD - Rose the Albertosaurus. All of these were done in early 2024, so about a year and a half ago now!

#fossilfriday #livefromthefield Today we wrapped up the 'Scorpio' Lambeosaurus lambei quarry with the much appreciated helping hands of the land owners and their tractor up at Prairie level. The amount of progress we were able to make in just two weeks is absolutely incredible!

It has been a looong time coming but I would like to introduce the last chapter of my PhD thesis, the latest non-eutyrannosaurian tyrannosauroid: Khankhuuluu mongoliensis, and on some new insight into our understanding of Eutyrannosaurian evolution (๐งต)

Next up, Albertosaurus! In this WWD article, I write about the colour choices on some of my favourite animals in the series - featuring another selection of my concept colour work, as well as @Paleoartologist's initial designs!

#livefromthefield Work resumes on "Scorpio" the Lambeosaurus lambei whose quarry was reopened last year. While last year we collected the skull, this year the body blocks are revealing vast swaths of skin underneath! Exciting!

Last night the @NMNH hosted an early screening of the new Walking with Dinosaurs along with a panel featuring some paleontologists and producers on the project, it was so much fun and really enjoyed seeing the first episode on the big screen! Looking forward to the full premiere
