Can anyone point me to a justification why certain reporting guidelines need to be published in multiple journals simultaneously? I get annoyed by the practice every time I need to cite one. PS - the "need" to reach a wider audience is not relevant in the age of open access

Pleased we @HumanMoveSci_UM @BasVanHooren @kenneth_meijer could contribute in a small way with 1 of 25 replication studies in this monumental effort led by @JennyMurphy2 A very important project with huge implications both for researchers & practice in sports/exercise science!
Arguably the most important project in the history of exercise science thus far. Equally enlightening is the accompanying "Reflections" paper. This conversation is long overdue. Congrats to @JennyMurphy2 for this incredible achievement and to @SportsMedicineJ for publishing these

👏 The @JSportsSci editors setting an excellent example for the field! If you want people to consider your research as high quality and rigorous, send your work to journals that actively promote these qualities!
Sometimes you need a carrot, sometimes you need a (small) stick. @JSportsSci we've introduced a mandatory sample size estimation and justification section to manuscripts. The rationale is outlined in the editorial. Editorial https://t.co/OCH52L4sLS IFA https://t.co/1ScWNvAdGA
