Nobody should be disappeared this way. The fact that it's a US citizen who is also a veteran is absolutely insane. If we want to be a nation of laws we need to follow the laws and that includes due process.

With everything going on nationally, people need someone who opens their district office (unlike the incumbent) and is around to help navigate the chaos Washington keeps throwing our way.

Next year, I will be running for Assembly in the 46th District, which includes Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Coney Island, Sea Gate & Brighton Beach. Our neighborhoods deserve someone who will go to Albany to fight for resources and to pass laws to make NY more affordable for all.

Really proud of the race @JustinBrannan ran for Comptroller. Running citywide as a Councilmember is tough and few succeed. Justin's message of standing up for working people, fighting corruption and protecting NYC from the madness in DC resonated with voters for good reason.

But it looks like low enthusiasm wasn't the Republican Party machine's only problem. Turns out, their chairman is probably going to lose to George Sarantopolous. It's going to come down to the final absentees so stay tuned. Either way, bad night for the Brooklyn GOP.
