After years of effort, we have published Virchow, the first million whole slide image (WSI) foundation model for histopathology, in Nature Medicine! It excels at detecting rare cancers, and we are fervently building new models on top of its incredibly diagnostic and robust.

My lab received a phase 2 award from DARPA/SRI where we will be integrating systems we made during phase 1 into SRI's Starcraft 2 AI system. We did a lot of great work during phase 1, which ran from 2018 until the end of 2020. @TylerLHayes has done a tremendous job on the project.
