If this doesn’t brighten a rainy Tuesday I don’t know what will. Around midnight 300 soldiers returned to Ft. Campbell from a nine month deployment. I’m not crying, you’re crying .. Welcome home!
A pandemic rages on, cases continue to spike in Nashville .. but by all means, please don’t let that get in the way of going to a Honky Tonk 🤦🏼♀️(this video shot last night)
I cried today at work. Looking around at a neighborhood I barely recognized, the magnitude of the last 48 hours sunk in. I was standing on Leigh Maple’s front porch when it happened. She hugged me. And told me it would be alright. The true spirit of Nashville.

Eight years ago a memo went up at NewsChannel 5. Today, another memo was posted. All these years later I still share the same joy and passion and love for this place as I did back then. It has been the great privilege of my life to have called

My 90 yr. old grandmother has been washing her dishes in the bathroom sink since June because the dishwasher is broken and she can’t risk having a repair person come into the house and catching COVID. For those of you who think we’re back to normal, I assure you, we aren’t.
My 1st grade teacher found me on Twitter today and honestly, it made this crumby year a little better. We owe so much to our teachers. Mrs. Mohs had a piano in her classroom and would sing to us every day. 29 years later, I now have a piano in my living room that I love to play
As this Christmas Day comes to a close, choosing to remember all the love I’ve seen on 2nd Avenue over the years. It’s part of Nashville’s heart. And tonight, my heart breaks for it and the city ❤️
I’d like for you all to meet my Grandma Atha. She turned 99 on Sunday. We lost her yesterday. She demanded only side profile pictures. She taught me how to write, oh, how she could write. And left us with a 100 page memoir filled with 99 years worth of love. We will miss you.
