Around 20-30 passengers change at Retford for LNER East Coast Mainline services to London Kings Cross, off the Brigg line services in both directions. Another body blow for our footfall ?
Today is the final weekday of effective rail services between Newark Northgate and Retford on the East Coast Main Line. From Monday, LNER will be offering four southbound (RET-NNG) trains, 0550, 0650, 0811 and 2200. Northbound passengers will have just one service, at 0712.

@LilianGreenwood Naff or what. I do wish someone would start taking GBR seriously. It's not about taking back control. DfT has increasingly been in direct control of the railway. We need to give the railway back to the people who know how to run it.

Yarm [YRM] ✅️ This shot has justified a small thought in my head that a camera may be beneficial to me. This was a high speed pass and because of a bit of rain, the blur came out in full force 😶🌫️ @DBCargoUK 66 056 passes Yarm P1, with 6D05 to Scunthorpe B.S.C.

Redcar Central [RCC] ✅️ I do love a ride on some 185s, my personal favorite DMU on the network. @TPEassist 185 116 + 185 119 took me here with 1P69 and the same units are also taking me onward to Yarm, with 1P74. A 10 minute stand at MBR isn't for the weak, however 😶🌫️

JINXED IT 🤣 *sigh....* With the delay to my service from Seaton Carew, I would've missed my connection at Horden. Due to this, I made the decision to bail at HPL and join my scheduled train there. I tried my best with this @GC_Rail 180 shot too, so have a train....
