It’s not just democrats who think public ed should be funded on enrollment instead of attendance. I’m a conservative who thinks the current rules are stupid. Does a teacher’s job change when 3-4 kids are absent from class? Nope. So why would we fund less?. Will this same.
Democrats have long pushed to fund government schools based on fake enrollment numbers instead of actual attendance. This scheme would raise taxes, increase administrative bloat, but not help students. Conservatives should oppose this liberal, fiscally irresponsible proposal.

SBISD’s payment went from $80M+ down to $1M BUT projected to be back at $10M+ next year. 📉📈 Article says HISD goes from $0 to $50M+ next year as well. Not quite a fix - just a band-aid that’s already coming off. Interesting take though with major spin with lots of self love.
