People will blame Silicon Valley for getting hit by the AI train even though we told them we are building the train, explained the train building process, showed them the tracks, let them ride a miniature train, put up little blinkers that say “Train coming!”

The fact this wasn’t global front page news is proof that people will get hit by the train no matter how loudly we yell about the train

Yesterday we did a livestream. TL;DR: We have set internal goals of having an automated AI research intern by September of 2026 running on hundreds of thousands of GPUs, and a true automated AI researcher by March of 2028. We may totally fail at this goal, but given the

-Codex excels at deep changes in the same file. Especially refactors. -For complex functions - generate with o3 and feed the implementation into codex. It will use that and figure out the rest. -If you have a hunch about whats causing a bug - tell codex. It uses that info.

Tips for codex: -If it fails in the same way twice - update https://t.co/GQpu2mmw1R with instructions correcting the behavior. It's VERY good at following directions. -Nudge it with filenames when you can -It has trouble with sprawling changes. ~3-5 files is the sweet spot

Codex is terrible at row-level security and it makes me very worried about the training data.

How Libra Was Killed. I never shared this publicly before, but since @pmarca opened the floodgates on @joerogan’s pod, it feels appropriate to shed more light on this. As a reminder, Libra (then Diem) was an advanced, high-performance, payments-centric blockchain paired with a
