Teachers are overwhelmed and tired, but still want and need to learn and grow. How do we design professional learning that honors both of these truths? Educators weigh in. https://t.co/h5ODU86ukh via @LearningForward

I want to connect with more educators in the Pacific Northwest. If you see this would you mind amplifying for me? Or tell me who I should follow? WA, OR, ID, MT and BC. Thanks! #allkids #techforgood #findyourpeople

Had “sew” much fun with @MrsDunworth! Quilting is math in action and helps everyone see themselves as “math people.” Many thanks to @drdavidwicks and the SPU DEL program for bringing us together! #NCCE23 #IamNCCE

In one of @jutecht ‘s sessions today, we looked at targeted advertising on social media. Tonight, I get a targeted ad for WDW that is likely thanks to @VictoriaTheTech, whose session happened right after 😂 #NCCE23

Here’s another take @eduleadership .
“A Tale of Two Academic Systems:” One partner has to stay home to care for a sick child for the 3rd day in a row (all the while fretting she will be seen as “low-bar” with her staff/admin) because the other partner works as adjunct in higher ed and doesn’t get sick leave.

Also, instructional coaching is not a “cake” job, as I saw someone describe it. There are complexities to this job I never even knew about while in the classroom, and have learned to embrace the brutal, beautiful, and bountiful parts of this role in a school.
@MrZachG Agree- the IC position is very misunderstood and not a path for everyone. It’s taken a few years to feel effective, but can have such a huge impact on student learning in a building. Coaching requires a very specific skill set/perspective and ongoing, reflective work.

Best part of #monkeyshines2023 is just getting out to wander around. Second best part is knowing that’s what everyone else is up to, too. It’s like a secret club! 🤣 Shout out to the people I saw at South Park and STW today! No glass yet, but there’s still hope, right?!
