Yesterday we discussed the opportunities and risks of AI for the American food system with the Senate. TLDR: More federal funding needed from R&D through tech transfer thru business innovation thru farmer protection.
On Tuesday, Nov 14, AIFS Co-PI @MasonEarles provided testimony to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry at a hearing regarding leveraging AI tech in American Agriculture. Check out the full hearing recording to watch his testimony:

Great work from @cientificolatin detailing insights from their 2 GMSI cohorts and strategies to improve equity in grad school applications
Out now in @CellCellPress! https://t.co/alueorl2UL Historically marginalized student representation drastically drops from undergrad to grad school. Are underrepresented students unqualified? Or are grad school admissions unnecessarily confusing, costly, & gatekeeping? 1/🧵
