@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack Turns out he was lying the whole time (chocking, I know). He lied to his friends, to his followers, to his business partners, even to his family. Turns out he got caught and he had nothing. Thereâs so much more to this story, @netflix needs a whole #trainwreck series on this.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack After saying for so long that he would only show his proof in a court of law, Craig got busted providing entire fabrications and even submitting mid-trial back-dated and manipulated evidence and emails, playing his lawyers against each other, even throwing his wife under the bus.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack Post-trial, the court issues civil-restraint orders; Wright later gets a one-year suspended sentence + ÂŁ145k fine for contempt after filing yet more suits. By 2025 Wright has lost or withdrawn >100 cases worldwide. No court has accepted heâs Satoshi; several call him a forger.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack In COPA v Wright (2024): a 6-week UK âidentity trial.â Justice Mellor concludes: Wrightâs evidence âintentionally false,â forgeries spanned years, âall in service of his biggest lie.â He was NOT #SatoshiNakamoto. Definitively.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack Well the lies and lawsuits were getting so ridiculous that an association formed and an âidentity trialâ was set where #CSW could finally reveal his credit card order for the domain and others since he always daid he would prove it in court. Welcome to law.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack Court emails show Wright locked that fake â1Feexâ wallet in a Singapore vault to secure Calvin Ayreâs cash. Forensics later flagged the PDF & âpurchase orderâ as back-dated; the Russian exchange he named didnât even sell BTC then. Oopsie @CsTominaga.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack You see, he needed more money from Calvin but Calvin needed some collateral to keep footing the bill. Thatâs when Craig came up with a blatantly false paper wallet, allegedly holding the keys to the 1Feex address, which was really from the mtgox hack.
fullycrypto.com
Craig Wright claims that the $2.2 billion-valued 1Feex Bitcoin wallet is locked in a Singapore bank vault, and his benefactors have the keys.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack When pressed in 2022 testimony, Wright claims he âstomped on a hard driveâ holding those keys. Proof literally smashed. So, which one is it? First the trust, then the courier, then he stomped on a hard drive. And still no keys. And now, he needed to have more BTC, in comes 1feex.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack Then there was the infamous âTulip Trustâ: Wright claims 1.1 M BTC are locked in a blind trust; a mysterious bonded courier will deliver the keys. Deadline after deadline passes and nothing. To this day, this is so laughable. Ridiculous. But it fooled Calvin, and bought him time.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan @PeterMcCormack US-Florida Kleiman estate suit: Magistrate Judge says Wright submitted forged docs & perjured himself, recommends handing over 50% of early coins (which never existed, were never Craigâs, to start with).
cointelegraph.com
Craig Wright has been ordered by a U.S. court to hand over more that 500K of his Bitcoin holdings to David Kleimanâs estate. Will the market survive?

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan Bitcoin Cash (BCH) splits from Bitcoin. Wright clashes with Roger Ver & Bitmainâs Jihan Wu over block sizes, threatening lawsuits in Slack. âYou fork, we bankrupt youâ. Well, he only bankrupted himself and almost bankrupted @CalvinAyre in the process.

One of the most prominent Bitcoin hard forks, Bitcoin Cash underwent its own split in 2018.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre @rogerkver @gavinandresen @BBC @RoryCellan Public âproofâ flops. Cryptographers spot Wright reused a 2009 signature anyone could copy. Wright promises âextraordinary evidenceâ⊠then deletes it, blames âhacking,â and vanishes. Loser.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre By then the entire #Bitcoin community started questioning Craigâs claims, including @rogerkver and others. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof and time after time Craig failed to deliver any evidence to support his claims. Thatâs when it went from a scam to a fraud.

@CsTominaga @CalvinAyre But now Calvin was in and Craig had an apparently unlimited amount of money to continue pushing his fraudulent claims. Thatâs when landmark memes such as âI have more money than your countryâ started coming out. Unfortunately for him, he didnât.
