Dear Parents—your child doesnt need to be the smartest in the class, the best on the field, or the most talented in the room. But they do need to be teachable. We’ve raised a generation that can Google every answer, but too many are forgetting how to listen, respect, and learn.

Great way to finish off our @LarsonMS building design unit with John and Keri from TMP architecture. They addressed some of the problems Ss identified and provided feedback to digital and physical models. Great day connecting with professionals in our community @troyschools

This is why every interaction among and with staff members is so important.

Great 1st day bringing our digital building design to life in @LarsonMS Innovation class. So fun to see students working with their hands, using maker tools to build and problem solve. @troyschools

Society and Parents respect the teachers. They are the experts. Yes they are 😊Funding is done through taxation so all schools are provided the same funding. A lot that the US can learn here. We have a lot of room for improvement.

Working through the Design Thinking Process creating the longest paper chain possible out of one piece of paper. Great collaboration, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving. 😊 Excited for this group to grow in Larson Innovation @LarsonMS @troyschools

Our state does not allow us to hold back credit any longer, so what incentive do kids have to show up? And parents enable it. It’s a nice day? Sleep in. Bad hair? Stay home. Sporting event? No worries.
High school graduation rates were already the biggest BS metric in education. Now chronic absenteeism doubles and rates still go up? Come on.

What a great time sharing our @LarsonMS Innovation Final Board Game Design with an invited guest. Ss played and shared valuable insight about the design & playability of the board game. Great way to celebrate finishing our design process @troyschools

We used to look at each other. Now we stare at screens...even when we’re together. One photographer removed the phones from everyday life. The results are unsettling (and heartbreaking): 🧵

So true! They need to see it modeled and that starts at home. Too many parents are hands off and don’t want to engage. I see in middle school parents stepping away from being involved in their kids day to day. So sad, they need guidance, conversation and encouragement.
@charlestull The accountability is definitely the problem. And when kids see that their parents don’t take accountability, they learn that that is how they can do it too. If my kids ever do this 1st, take the device away. Second is to contact me so when they get home, I can take care of it

Parents we need to do a better job holding our kids accountable and it starts from a young age. We have kids on devices creating a false sense of reality and fragile sense of self. When real challenges happen they do not know how to handle it, we are creating a soft generation.

Encouragement is a gift two people get. You refresh someone else you yourself get refreshed. Let’s implement Reverse Gossip. Saying something good about someone that is not there. You always have a choose to encourage and build others ⬆️ Be the 💡

Oh boy. This shocking unearthed video showing nearly every prominent Republican saying that tariffs are horrible for America and will tank the economy. Thy were hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Why is merit pay for teachers a dangerous and dumb idea? For starters, it’s been tried and failed. Student success depends on resources, support, and socioeconomic factors—not just teacher effort and ability. #education #departmentofeducation #meritpay #payteachersmore
