TIL: building AMDVLK from source, as a debug build, runs seemingly well on a @Raspberry_Pi 5! No games tested, just Llama bench and some inference, so far. I'm using the amdgpu patches in 6.12.22, CC: @geerlingguy

The @Hi_MINISFORUM DEG1 works great with my @Raspberry_Pi CM5 and M.2 M-Key w/ ReDriver to OCulink 4i Adapter from @MicroSATA! I've tested many other adapters, which may correctly power the dock on/off, but the GPU is never detected. FWIW, my llama-bench scores remain unchanged

Doing some holiday hacking with a @diodesdelight Piunora Pro, Hailo 8L, and @Raspberry_Pi CM5 8gb. This carrier board is so compact and easy to setup, if only there was a way to leverage USB 3.0! Looking forward to more tests once I'm back home and can attach some heatsinks 😅

Finally had a chance to use my @Pineboards Hat uPCIty Lite to test the HighPoint Rocket 1204 PCIe Gen3 switch... my @Raspberry_Pi 5 finds the card + the 2x @Hailo_ai 8's ! Still need to try some example apps, and also benchmark NVMe drives. Maybe @geerlingguy already did this 🤔

very productive morning... added to my $ONE bag, minted a few @OneCanNFT 's, minted a @DingosHarmony NFT, and staked the rest w/ @BossBaby_ONE . supporting the @harmonyprotocol community is fun, and easy!

Adding some slightly larger #cm4 heatsinks, and a few sysctl tweaks resulted in much lower operating temps and a drop in cpu usage. I should stop here, and walk away, right? can't help but think 2.4ghz (stable) or even 2.5ghz are within reach

One node was running around 48-50 C, before. After, it dropped down to a nice, cool 38-ish C. Not bad!

Put together a #raspberrypi zero 2 with a spare #pimoroni enviro. It's battery powered and can recharge via #solarpower. It's going in a #greenhouse to collect data, and eventually automate heat, light, etc. This is side-project project no. 4, so updates will trickle in, slowly

I've been using a custom build of #raspberrypi 64-bit OS (rpi-5.16.y) for a #harmonyprotocol $ONE node running shard 0 — it's syncing and actually catching up! On top of that, the #pibenchmarks score broke the 30k barrier. More to follow, as there's still room for improvement 🤖

My #raspberrypi #CM4 8gb Lite just arrived, from @seeedstudio! This will have to last for the entire year, since they won't be back in stock until 2023 😭

the node eventually crashed/rebooted (thanks to watchdog). upping over_voltage to 15 seems to have stabilized things

2.4ghz is lookin' mighty fine, under full load! So far, the #CM4 $ONE node has been stable with the POE+ hat and custom kernel. my boot config has.. over_voltage=14, arm_freq=2333, arm_freq_min=1800, and using the "conservative" scaling governor. no "force_turbo", for now

Out with the old, in with the new? Next project idea... Replace this #RaspberryPi 3A+ (which runs #victron Venus OS) with a Pi Zero 2W. And, organize the inside of this dang box, once and for all! #solarenergy
