Honoured to work with @EsBukuroshi on different teams over the last 4 years on @gecos_uoft. Although, I will be sad to see her leave I can't wait to see all she will accomplish in the future. She tirelessly advocates for students @uoftengineering, and is an inspiration to us all!.
Shoutout to all these amazing nine women #uoftengineering grads and special s/o to the past Vice Chair, co-founder and continued dedicated member of GECoS @EsBukuroshi π€©ππ€©πππ

Always wanted to learn about what makes humans unique. I am privileged to work and learn from people out of @neuron2brain @KrembilRI @bme_uoft every day and always ask questions. This work on insight into visual responses in memory structures is 1st step hopefully of many more!.
For memory/hippocampus aficionados - saccades and image onset responses are very different - something to keep in mind when designing visual memory tasks. Great work by @chaimNK @Kramayp @OmidTalakoub @dmgroppe in collaboration with @perpl_lab @KrembilRI

Thank you to all the amazing tremendous volunteers. Humbled by the amazing community support to mask as many as possible and help together in these uncertain times. Also not possible without collaborators such as @mykingandbay, sewingforchange mask4covid, and sewForTo.#Masks4All.
A shoutout to all our amazing Hub Coordinators who have been dedicating countless hours distributing mask kits and collecting masks from hundreds of sewists across the city! #ItTakesAVillage #Masks4All #Mission2Mask #Stitch4Corona

Thanks @UofTEngDean @audeluj and Karam from @GecosUoft for facilitating a great town hall. Close to 150 attendees and I personally learned a lot and appreciate the efforts @uoftengineering and at @UofT are doing on behalf of our student community!.
Had a great #townhall with @uoftengineering grad students today. Thanks to @audeluj and #GECOS for setting up. Lots of good questions and thoughts about the effect of the pandemic on all aspects of graduate school.

Lucky to be part of initiatives on efforts in community and research. Take a look at @Kramayp preprint on humans ability to voluntary control even a single neuron and exciting implications for future work in neuromodulation @C_R_A_N_I_A @DrValiante @neuron2brain @MilosRPopovic.
The human brain has more than 80 billion neurons. In our latest pre-print, we show, for the first time, that we can learn to control the activity a single neuron in brain regions involved in memory function, and commonly involved in generating seizures -

Most importantly thank you to the close to 300 volunteers who have signed up to sew. We are continually working on expanding materials and kits. Every mask helps!.Learn more at .And follow @Stitch4Corona to see where these masks and your efforts are going!.
As #COVID19 protective supplies dwindle, two #UofTEngineering grad students have launched @Stitch4Corona, sewing more than 2,000 face masks for Toronto's most vulnerable π·:

Very fortunate to work with individuals with #epilepsy out of @DrValiante lab. People I work with may have to shave their heads for a procedure to identify seizure location. If you want to see me shave my head please donate. See results on March 26th Purple Day! #PurpleDayUHN
Itβs ON. This @PurpleDay (March 26), itβs a hair-to-hair showdown between @KrembilRI neurology & neurosurgery, to raise $$ for #epilepsy research. Support @chaimnk β Support Dene β He who raises the most $$ shaves! #PurpleDayUHN
