Herbie McGuire… a Centre Icon. There isn’t a more beloved Centre person than Herb. A huge help in me being hired in ‘99- I have a great story there. Herb’s the true spirit of Centre College- our Golf fundraiser is named after him & rightfully so- special assist to Brian Chafin.

Great point… the #1 trait of a good Assistant is Loyalty. #2 is Loyalty. #3 is Loyalty. #4 is Unquestioned Loyalty. (Unless of course immoral behavior by the HC)
Parents complained about playing time for certain kids. District put Head Coach on leave. Assistant Coaches said "we ain't coaching either!" Head Coach reinstated!!! Kudos to those Assistant Coaches!
