If you mention among your sources the "95% of AI projects fail" MIT study, I will know for sure that you don't read what you mention, and that you are not serious about research.

This sort of pikachu-facing over Daniel K's comment is embarrassing and obtuse. The idea that the original claim of AI 2027 was "AGI is going to happen definitely in 2027 and we'll all die if we don't do xyz" cannot possibly come from a sane reading of the blogpost. I have a

Waiting out of school. A group of students that get out earlier are talking among them. "ChatGPT saved me. The teacher was a disaster at explaining. Chatty did explain it better than the book, got it and aced the quiz." "Chatty" 😁 When a teenager gives a name to something...

ChatGPT 5.1 is a MAJOR improvement, at least from a writing/tone point of view. Check out these rap lyrics about quantum mechanics it spit out. (and enjoy the @suno song I made with them). Equally impressively, look at the linguistic and physics analysis of the lyrics that

Turns out you can communicate across containers via 63-bits of available space in a shared lock you acquire on /proc/self/ns/time that all processes have access to. No networking required. The post has a demo of a chat app communicating across unprivileged containers.

It was only a matter of time, yet it came faster than expected: An entirely AI-generated country song titled “Walk My Walk” by the mysterious artist Breaking Rust has hit No.1 on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart—despite no human singer behind it.

Some added context to this tweet from @mweinbach yesterday via the same JPM report. We have long said enterprises will be the largest funders for enabling an AI service per employee.
Reading a JP Morgan AI CAPEX report and this is such a great way to put AI ROI into perspective "to drive a 10% return on our modeled AI investments through 2030 would require ~$650 billion of annual revenue into perpetuity... which equates to $34.72/month from every current

One little experiment lots of people can do- take a young student, and told them that they are not gonna use ChatGPT/Claude/etc anymore. See what they are willing to bargain to continue use it. It will be illuminating. /end

The reality is that if GenAI gives user value comparable or higher than these per-unit estimates ($8/user/month, $54/employee/month) the economics will make it sustainable. Of course this needs to be a real improvement, and should be long-lasting. ../4

Or think about PCs. $54/month per business PC (excluding consumer ones). If GenAI reduces your effort by 1 hour per month per employee-it already paid for itself. I suspect this kind of estimates will not last long. ../3

IT expenditure is estimated by Gartner at $6T. So, that means 10% of it. Does it seem that large now? Not so much. Also, think in terms of cell phone users. 7B smartphones->$8 per user/month. Do you really think that the digital AD market ($1.1T) would not subsidize it? ../2
