In this, Police is climbing wrong tree! 50kph speed is not what's causing road fatalities in Kampala, it's breakdown of road traffic rules! Boda-boda are above law, cars overtake, create multiple lanes with no sanction. Then siren class weave & drive against traffic. Bure kabisa!
The police is introducing a 30km/h speed limit for all motorists in Kampala metropolitan area.
The current limit is 50km/h.
Reviewing the speed limit in urban areas where we’ve a mix of traffic and people to 30 km/h will reduce fatalities and save lives.

So, Kiswahili & Luganda are related.They have the same language structure & are both Bantu languages but they are not mutually intelligible. They also have different phonologies.

They were cousins; their homes within radius of 3km! Between them, 32 bloody years!

On my usual sojourn in Lake Victoria, I ran into 12 of these fishing vessels in as many times. The platform floats on 2 cylinder, they're propelled by diesel engine which also supplies power for the bright light used in attracting silver fish. Big net that looks like satellite

Will these help in sorting out silt from expensively built highways going to the dogs around feeder roads? You need to drive along Mukono-Kisoga-Nyenga road to see half of road in many places covered with debris & silt. Potholes emerge there. If you can't maintain, don't build!

My best is when as he drove past pork joint at Mukono, youth chanted that he buys them pork. He obliged, got out of his car with gun & guards, had 10kg of pork chopped & put on skewers. Minutes into roasting, he made them to eat half-cooked pork at gunpoint, as price of idleness

When I joined S.1 in 1983 (Obote was president) annual school was 12,000/= for urban and 11,000/= for rural schools. PTA top up mainly for enhancing teachers salaries was 1,000/= per term. This remained more less same till 1986 when I sat UCE. Books & pens were given at school.

Baganda politicians with national outlook & substance like Ben Kiwanuka, Paul Semogerere, Bidandi Ssali etc are not supported by Buganda. Rest of Uganda usually supports Baganda with national outlook. An emerging one is Erias Lukwago. Can Buganda support him? I doubt!
